MEXICAN TOMATILLO (organic) TOMX
Tomatillos have a tangy flavour and are widely used in authentic Mexican cookery, including salsa. Can be eaten raw and are lovely grilled.
Sow under glass and transplant when danger of frost has passed. Space 70-80cm apart. Support is essential as plants can frow to 1.5m.
Harvest in August/September.
Mexican Tomatillo, Physalis ixocarpa, resembles a green tomato which is enclosed in a silk-like skin.
