ASPARAGUS LETTUCE Cracoviensis (organic)
Asparagus lettuce is also known as Cracoviensis.
A very old lettuce variety described by Vilmorin-Andrieux at the end of the 19th century.
Sow in spring to enjoy as loose leaved lettuce reminiscent of a cos. Sown June onwards, the plant will quickly bolt to produce stems with excellent flavour like asparagus. Quite frost resistant but not hardy enough to overwinter.
