Leaf Beet Seeds - Rhubarb Chard (1885) (Organic) 780180
Bright red stems and glossy dark green crumpled leaves. Resembles rhubarb but tastes nothing like it! 95 seeds.
Chard can be harvested over many months as baby leaf for salads, large leaves as a spinach substitute and even the leaf midrib can be cooked like asparagus. Later sowings will crop over winter and are suitable for a cold green house. Crops 11 weeks from sowing. Leaves/stems high in vitamin A. Eat young leaves raw in salads/sandwiches. Steam older leaves and use like spinach.
