CARAWAY (organic) HBCW
Annual. Sow directly in April or late autumn as it does not transplant well. Caraway plants have clusters of tiny pale pink flowers in early summer. The seeds, which form in the second year, have a piquant flavour and the roots are a delicacy when boiled. Chop the leaves for garnishing soups and stews. The roasted seeds are used in bread and cake mixes. Not really suitable for growing in containers.
Height 60cm. 425 seeds.
