Rob says: I found these tomatoes at a specialist tomato breeder last year and was totally amazed by them. The plants produce dense columns of crinkled and curled leaves which are slimmer and more compact than regular tomato plants, meaning you can get more plants closer together, perfect for a smaller greenhouse."
The plants are very productive, producing large, cherry-sized fruit which are deep red in colour, with green striping which fades as the fruit ripens. Each truss is held away from the plants and it makes picking exceptionally easy. The fruit has a sweet, rich flavour which makes you want more.
In fact, out of a greenhouse full of varieties, this was the one Rob kept going back to and eating! Harvest July-early October. Height 150-200cm (59-79"); spread 30-40cm (12-16").
For heated greenhouses sow January onwards and unheated March-April at a temperature of 16–18°C (60–65°F) using a quality seed compost. Transplant resulting seedings into 9cm (3½") pots. For the greenhouse, plant late April-May in large pots, growing bags, or border soil. Pinch out side shoots regularly and when in flower shake plants daily to aid fruit set. Feed every 2 weeks.
