Combining a sustainable use of wildland to produce natural indigenous products from a rural community whilst promoting and protecting local flora and fauna. Once, birch trees were tapped every spring in Northern Europe, and the UK where the custom had all but disappeared.
Using various parts of the birch tree from sap to leaves and even the bark have many useful applications that result in a unique range of birch products including cosmetics, drinks and utterly delicious birch liqueur chocolates and truffles. Birch trees contain, amongst other trace elements, salicylates, betulic acid and other quality oils making extremely good quality soaps and skin creams.
