Description

This twin pack contains 6 Super Plug plants (3 of each variety) of two delicious and sweet watermelon varieties:

Mini Love - Vigorous-growing, early-cropping Mini Love is a great choice for even the smallest garden. Sweet and delicious, the fruits are highly nutritious, and have zero fat and no cholesterol; they're compact, round to blocky, with striped skins and sweet, crisp, dark crimson flesh with very few seeds, and weigh 3-5 kg each (with 3-4 fruits per plant). Can be grown in the open, but will produce earlier, heavier crops if grown in a greenhouse in a large (e.g. 20 litre) pot. Bred by our own group. It's a fantastic fruit - try it!

Champagne - Is a productive variety of watermelon producing round fruits approximately 4 kg in weight. The outer rind is light green with dark green stripes, whilst the flesh is yellow and tender with a juicy, sweet flavour. Best grown in the greenhouse in the UK. Harvest mid September-late October.

Please note: There is a possibility that your plant will include a grafting clip, if it does, this is an integral part of the grafting process and that it should be left in place. As the plant grows it will naturally shrug off the clip.

What's so good about grafted veg plants? We are revolutionising the homegrown vegetable market with our range of grafted vegetable plants! Commercially the grafting method has been used for some time, but we've developed them for the home gardener, and early adopters have had extraordinary results: Big increases in yield from larger, more vigorous plants - up to 75% more crops than a standard vegetable plant! Earlier cropping, yet with sufficient vigour to crop well later in the season Grow in the greenhouse or outdoors - little or no heating required Excellent resistance to soil-borne pest and diseases - no more ring culture or grow bags - plant straight in the soil Greater tolerance to nutritional disorders
