CHOY SUM Purple [ORPF] |
Non-organic.
Gardening expert Gunars Ulmanis says "A striking brassica, originating from China is purple choy sum. The leaves have purple ribs and veins, making them a striking addition to any bowl of salad. It tends to bolt quite readily, but as it is mainly grown in China for its pencil-thin purple shoots with yellow edible flowers this is a bonus rather than a problem."
Sow July-Sept.
