Grow a barrel full of home grown potatoes on your patio or balcony.

Plant five seed potatoes in 15cm of compost at the bottom of the barrel. As the plants grow, add more compost to "earth up" and encourage more tuber bearing side shoots, until the compost reaches the top (takes 80 litres). At harvest time, the outer sleeve slides to remove the crop.
