 | A tasty vegetable which cannot stand frost. To get an early crop in June and miss the first caterpillars, sow under glass in March in modules (it dislikes bare-root transplanting) and plant out in April with fleece protection. For the best sized heads sow direct in April and May for cutting in August and September. The central heads are followed by a crop of side shoots. Cut whilst the flower buds remain closed. Space 25-30cm apart in 45cm rows. |
