“I’d just like to say a big thank you. The blight resistant potato collection I had from you this year were fantastic. High cropping and so tasty. After the summer we’ve had I would have expected blight but although they did get a little not enough to effect the crop, they were so healthy that they were able to fight it off.
I also grew Nikko Chinese cabbage that was wonderful, and tastes very good stuffed. The celtuce was something else and caused quite a stir among my friends, no one had heard of it or seen it before and a lot of it went to them for tasting. I found that it was brilliant in stir fry giving a crisp texture and delicate taste.

“I should like to tell you how delighted I am with Minicole. We are still cutting it (it is now early February) and expect to continue for a while yet, though it is a summer cabbage (“harvest Aug-Oct”) and it is as fresh as anything. The outer leaves go a nasty black in winter but only a few of these have to be removed to yield a clean, tight, pale tasty cabbage which will never fail to please. Small it can be as you say in your catalogue, but some of ours grow to quite a large size.
I also love Celtic which I have tried for the first time this year, but I shall reserve judgement until I know if this (winter cabbage) lasts well. Loose ones are not such good tasters in me experience.

“I rang on Monday to track my order for raspberry canes. The woman who spoke to me
1) assured me the order was recorded
2) 2) said she’d email the supplier to remind them of the order etc.
Not only did she do that: today she left me a phone message to confirm she’d received a reply form the supplier stating why the canes had not yet been sent (lack of cold weather, meaning that the canes still have leaves on them). She also gave an estimate of when they might arrive; I completely understand that continued warm weather might scupper the estimate and feel totally in the picture and more knowledgeable as a result of the phone message.
That’s what I call excellent customer service. It means I can prepare the bed property and add fertiliser in preparation, ready to plant the canes as soon as they arrive (weather permitting). If I wasn’t a member already, I’d certainly join now. I will recommend you to my gardening friends. Thank you!!”
