Traditional 'ridge' cucumbers and more modern, smoother skinned, cultivars for growing outside or in a frame, unheated greenhouse or tunnel. Will grow at lower temperatures and humidity than 'greenhouse' types. Do not remove any flowers as they need to be pollinated to set fruit.
Leave to trail over the ground, although those with longer fruits are best grown with support.
Sow under glass in April and plant out in May after the last frost. Cucumbers are also suitable for growing in containers.
