A new way to grow your own salad, the Salad Patch is a grow mat, seed and protective cover all in one!
Roll it out, secure with soil, water and watch it grow. Easy germination, fast growing, less water and no transplanting. PLUS - No weeding! The cover provides a warm microclimate as the plants develop and protects your plants from pest and diseases. When the plants are big enough, it can be removed.
The 1.2m x 40cm mat is made from wood pulp and can be incorporated into the soil at the end of the season.
Available in three varieties:
MEDITERRANEAN - Peppery flavours with bite, perfect with rich tomato dishes. Contains Chicory Italiko Rosso, Rocket Dentallata, Lettuce Catalogna Cerbiata and Amaranth.
ORIENTAL SALAD - Contains Mizuna, Tatsoi, Pak Choi, Red and Green Mustard. Crunchy with spicy flavours, delicious with a simple fresh dressing, larger leaves can be added to a stir fry.
SUMMER SALAD - Contains crisp sweet Cos lettuce, with frilly Red and Green Batavia and Tango lettuce, wonderful with a creamy dressing.
