Ecobulbs -Good for People, Good for Nature.

WHY CHOOSE ORGANIC BULBS?
- No Chemicals.
Did you know that 'conventional' bulbs are grown using intensive applications of chemical fertilisers, artificial pest controls and fungicides?
- Cut down your tractor miles! Growing these bulbs supports the land they are grown on and the people who work it.
- Better, longer lasting bulbs. Not forced, but given time in optimum natural conditions which means they are harvested when they are ready (not the market place) and so they will stay in good condition to bloom for several years so you won't need to replace them next year.

We are delighted to be acting as sole UK agents for these beautiful organic bulb varieties from the Farm of Faith in Holland. Your bulb order will be despatched to customers in late October/early November depending on the right conditions for harvest.
The bulb growers, Wiert and Wim Postema say: ‘We call our farm Hoeve Vertorouwen (Farm of Faith) as this name expresses our confidence in nature. We believe that it is possible to practice agriculture without the use of harmful substances and methods if conditions put by nature are respected’.
The farm covers 100 acres of land reclaimed from the sea in 1932, 2.5 metres below sea level in the north-west of the Netherlands. It was converted to biodynamic cultivation when the Postemas took it over in the early 80’s and flower bulbs have been grown since 1993 alongside wheat, potatoes, vegetables and fodder crops.
Wim explains how the organic cultivation of flower bulbs differs from conventional production, including growing flower bulbs in a 7 year rotation with other arable crops which prevents many plant diseases.
Your bulbs will come with clear instructions for growing and storing the bulbs so you will get fabulous displays from these high quality, organic bulbs year ofter year.
